The RX 100 Hindi remake, which is tentatively titled Tadap, has been in the news for the longest time. Milan Luthria’s directorial marks the Bollywood debut of Suneil Shetty’s son Ahan Shetty. The young lad will be seen romancing Student Of The Year 2 actress Tara Sutaria and people are eagerly waiting to see the duo on the big screen. And for the ones who are excited to watch Tadap, here’s interesting news for you all. Ahan Shetty is ready to kickstart the shoot of the film and he will begin doing so today itself. Tadap goes on floors today at a single screen theatre in South Mumbai and it will be a brief schedule. Post this, a major chunk of the film will be shot in Mussorie.
Confirming the news, director Milan Luthria informed Mumbai Mirror, “Ahan’s character runs a movie theatre there. The scene with which the schedule is starting has a lot of drama.” He added that recce for the film’s first schedule involved visits to a lot of cinema halls from Navrang to Aurora, Deepak and Novelty. However, the crew finalised Central Plaza as it is neither swanky nor vintage.
And while Ahan Shetty begins shooting for Tadap today, his co-star Tara Sutaria will join him and the team at a later date. However, the belle fille will be present for the team lunch today. “She will be present for lunch on the first day, but isn’t a part of the shoot,” Milan said.
Tadap is the Hindi remake of Telugu hit RX 100 which was a love story. Talking about his project’s plot, Milan added, “Doing a candy floss romance didn’t seem like the way to go for a guy like Ahan. jid and I come a commercial ound wherein films ride on drama, action and confrontations with twists and turns. I loved the original film and we have adapted it to suit the Hindi audience’s sensibilities. It’s a dramatic and unexpected story.”
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala, on the other hand, admitted to the fact there’s a sense of responsibility on him as he is launching a new face in the industry. “RX 100 is a different film from the ones we have made recently. That said, Ahan has prepped well and has done his homework. I feel it’s a great start and very nostalgic (the first film that Suniel signed as an actor was Sajid’s production Waqt Hamara Hai). I hope the audience will love his talent as much as Milan and I do,” said Sajid.
