Congress did nothing to honour Ambedkar, says Modi in final pitch for Karnataka

With the campaigning for the Karnataka Assembly election slated to conclude today, Prime Minister, as part of his last pitch for the high-stake poll battle addressed the SC/ST/OBC and the Slum Morcha Karyakartas of BJP in the state.

Speaking to the workers via the Narendra Modi App, the prime minister effused energy and exuded confidence in their hardwork– while urging them to work relentlessly for the welfare of the state.

The prime minister’s address, though, primarily focussed on attacking the Congress party for ‘doing nothing for the honour of Ambedkar’.

Invoking BR Ambedkar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi today said, “Taking inspiration from all the great saints, today we are trying to fulfill Baba Saheb’s dream of powerful and prosperous nation.”

Lauding the SC/ST workers for their contribution and concerted efforts with the party for the benefit of the state, the PM added, “BJP has the highest number of MPs belonging to SC and ST communities. More and more people of these communities are connecting with BJP…”

Meanwhile, the high-voltage campaigning for the Karnataka Assembly polls will come to an end today at 5 pm. A total of 2655 candidates, including 219 women are in the poll fray in the election.
