For the past few days, many celebrities have been urging people to stay at home and follow the necessary precautions to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus. Today, Tollywood stars including Mahesh Babu, Pawan Kalyan and Ram Charan contributed huge amounts to the CM Relief Fund of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana to fight Covid-19 pandemic.
The latest to join them is the Baahubali star Prabhas, who has donated Rs 1 crore to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.
Fans of the actor have been praising him for his philanthropic deed on social media.
Actor Nithiin was the first person from the industry to announce that he would donate Rs 10 lakh each to both governments.
Earlier today, Pawan Kalyan donated a sum of Rs 1 crore to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Relief Fund. He also contributed Rs 50 lakh to both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh government.
Ram Charan said that he was inspired by his uncle Pawan Kalyan and announced a sum of Rs 70 lakh to fight the novel coronavirus pandemic.
He wrote, “Hope this tweet finds you in good health. At this hour of crisis, inspired by @PawanKalyan garu, I want to do my bit by contributing to aid the laudable efforts of our governments… Hope you all are staying safe at home! @TelanganaCMO @AndhraPradeshCM @PMOIndia @KTRTRS (sic).”
Meanwhile, Prabhas is currently in self-isolation at his home in Hyderabad. He was shooting for his upcoming film with Pooja Hegde in Georgia.
