Kareena Kapoor Khan called it quits with Shahid Kapoor when they were shooting for Imtiaz Ali’s Jab We Met. They were in a blissful relationship until everything ended between the two. They shot Mauja Hi Mauja after their break-up but their chemistry was on fire in the song. Nevertheless, they moved on in their lives. Kareena soon fell in love with Saif Ali Khan on the sets of Tashan whereas Shahid Kapoor remained single until he met Mira Rajput in 2015. They exchanged wedding vows in 2015 whereas Kareena married Saif in 2012. Today, they are blessed with lovely kids and they hold grudges against each other. In fact, they cordially meet each other at various events.

Years after their break-up, Kareena Kapoor Khan recently opened up on their separation and told Film Companion, “Of course, then destiny had its own plan and life took its own course. A lot happened in the making of this film and Tashan and our lives… We all kind of went our separate ways. And this beauty of a movie came out of it.” She mentioned that it was Shahid who suggested her to do Jab We Met. “In fact, it was Shahid who said that I should hear this script of this film. He was like, ‘It’s amazing, the girl’s part is amazing and you should do it.’ He kind of actually got this entire project together and both of us ended up doing this film,” she added.

Revealing how Tashan changed her life as she met her man of dreams, Bebo further elaborated, “I think we just had to kind of do this movie at this time when Tashan was being made…and I met Saif. So I kind of did Tashan for that actually…when I actually thought that that was going to change my life and my career. But this (Jab We Met) changed my career and that (Tashan) changed my life. Because I did meet the man of my dreams and I did marry him.”
