After ruling the box office with his film Race 3 earlier this year, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is now gearing for his next release Bharat. The film is being directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and features actress Katrina Kaif as the female lead. This is the second time that the trio has collaborated for a movie. They had previously worked together in the hit flick movie Tiger Zinda Hai. Recently, Salman has left for the film’s Punjab schedule.
The film’s producer and Salman’s brother-in-law, Atul Agnihotri, took to his Instagram handle and shared a video in which the 52-year-old actor is seen walking at the Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport, Mumbai.
He captioned his post, “#Bharat @beingsalmankhan heads to #Punjab for @bharat_thefilm.” Take a look.
Apart from the duo, the flick also stars Sunil Grover, Tabu, Nora Fatehi and Disha Patani in key roles and is based on the 2014 South Korean drama Ode to My Father. Bharat will span over 60 years, starting from 1947 to 2000s and Salman will don five different looks in the movie.
Interestingly, actor Varun Dhawan will also have a cameo in the movie. Last month, the actor went to Abu Dhabi to shoot for the same.
Initially, Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra was scheduled to play the film’s female lead, but she left the project before it first schedule citing personal reasons. After her exit, Katrina Kaif was roped in to play Salman’s love interest in the movie.
