Salman Khan is all set to entertain us as the kickass cop, Chulbul Pandey again and how! The megastar is busy shooting for Dabangg 3 in Madhya Pradesh and the frenzy has hit the roof as fans flocked to see a glimpse of him. The 53-year-old actor had posted a video saying that they have reached their birthplace for the shoot of the third installment of this cop franchise. He captioned the video, “Back in our birthplace for #Dabangg3 shoot @arbaazkhanofficial”. Later on, he also shared a snap of them having a ‘chulbul’ time while rolling.
Of course, the mania only increased when Sonakshi Sinha joined Salman Khan on the sets. That’s right, after launching the trailer of Kalank, she took off to the sets where she truly belongs. The actress even took to her Instagram account to share her look from the 1st day and wrote, “RAJJO is back!!! From Dabangg to Dabangg 3…It’s homecoming. Day 1 of shoot for me today, wish me luck ❤️ #DabanggGirl.”
Having said that, the film has now come under fire and has given birth to a row after photographs of a Shivling covered with wooden planks during the shooting of his film surfaced on social media yesterday. Reportedly, the set was created on the banks of the river Narmada in Maheshwar, where the unit placed a bench over Shivling on the Ghat. Pictures which went viral created a ruckus and got embroiled in a political controversy. According to DNA, BJP MLA Rameshwar Sharma, in a statement, demanded registration of an FIR against those behind the incident, which he claimed, showed disrespect to Lord Shiva. Needless to say, Congress retorted saying that it is their ‘narrow mindset’ that has plagued progress in the region.
Having heard enough, Salman now has issued a clarification to the local media. He said the shivling was covered with wooden planks to protect the idol and maintain its sanctity. The act in no way meant to hurt anyone’s religious sentiments. The actor even assured that the planks were removed after the shooting. So that’s that!
After the completion of their first schedule, Salman and Sonakshi will head to Wai for a marathon shoot. The film is expected to release in the month of December this year. But, before that, Salman has Bharat scheduled to hit the screens during Eid. The actor stars alongside Katrina Kaif, Jackie Shroff, Nora Fatehi, Disha Patani and Sunil Grover.
